Bladed Minds

A Japanese sword fight with a twist. Watch an impressive display of skill with the Katana but make sure you watch until the very end for a good laugh.

Hack Me!

See what happens when you invite top notch hackers to have a go at hacking you. This reporter visits Defcon and finds out. I have to say I am unlikely to fall for a phishing scam but the social engineering hack is scary because it is completely out of your control.

Hat Master

In Venice, California, Nick Fouquet designs and builds custom headgear from raw materials. He makes each by hand, as requested by a client roster that includes celebrities like Pharrell and Anne Hathaway. No two hats are the same, but each is made with the best materials, using techniques that have been perfected for centuries.

Decoy

As part of a series of "experiments" devised by Canon in Australia, six pro photographers were told to photograph the same guy but were given six different back-stories for him. Naturally enough, they came up with six different images of him.

Mesmerising Mass

This incredible footage of hundreds of sheep being herded across New Zealand’s grasslands will blow you away. The amazing footage shows hordes of sheep stampeding their way across a field, being rounded up by dogs as they migrate to a new field. The mesmerising scenes were caught on film by aerial photographer and qualified pilot Tim Whittaker, from New Zealand.

Siri B. Goode

YouTube musician samuraiguitarist covers Johnny B. Goode by Chuck Berry with beat-boxing accompaniment by Siri. Obviously some trickery is involved and I don't think much of Siri's singing voice, but it is a great video nonetheless.

Photographic History

The Cooperative of Photography's YouTube channel often features great videos for the amateur photographer to pick up tips but this one is a little different. Lots of interesting facts about the history of our beloved hobby. Did you know that the French open sourced it?

Gerry Anderson

An absolute legend in British television broadcasting that doesn't get the recognition he deserves in my opinion. Together with wife Sylvia and a team of regulars, including Reg Hill and Derek Meddings, Anderson produced so many great shows for both children and adult audiences. It is also worth mentioning Barry Gray who came up with some of the best TV themes ever created. Perhaps best remembered for his SuperMarionation work but with some cracking live action examples too, enjoy this trip down memory lane. I'm sure I speak for many when I say that Gerry Anderson was a massive part of my childhood.

Sound & Vision

Make sure you have good headphones for this one. A fabulous performance by a mass of musicians and singers, led by Beck and his father (conducting), of Sound & Vision by the late David Bowie. I sadly have no information about why or where this was performed but I am convinced Bowie himself would have loved it.
