Boing Ball

This is a fantastically original video. A very bouncy ball runs havoc through the streets of Los Angeles and you get to see all the action from the ball's POV. It is called Ballin' Out Of Control and if you want spoil the magic you can see the "making of" video here.

One Shot

If I said to you that a video of someone riding a mountain bike down a hill whilst pulling off some amazing flips and jumps could be relaxing to watch, you might think I was talking rubbish. Well watch this. In a single continuous a shot and with a great Buffalo Springfield soundtrack, Brandon Semenuk nails it.

Crazy Eye

Marcello Barenghi starts with what looks like a decidedly average drawing of an eye but don't judge too soon because before long he turns it into a crazily realistic image.

Study In Haneda

Its been too long since I posted a good time-lapse or a tilt-shift video, so here is a combination. A beautiful example that focuses on Haneda Airport in Tokyo.

The Long Night Followed

I often post about short films that get my attention. Admittedly most are science fiction related and are usually animated, as that is my area of interest. This one is different however. It is live-action and it is much more artistic than my usual taste. The director, writer and narrator is a very good friend of mine, Bill Bradshaw, which is how I was introduced to it but it is not the reason why I think it is well worth a watch.

"An abuse survivor must travel the hallways of his memory to revisit the trauma's [sic] that forged his life". If you like it as much as I do, then please consider voting for it at the Online International Film Festival.

One-Minute Time Machine

Every time the beautiful Regina rejects his advances, James pushes a red button and tries again, all the while unaware of the reality and consequences of his actions. Directed by Devon Avery. Selected for the Sploid Short Film Festival, a celebration of the coolest short films and the film-makers that make them.

Star Python

If you're a geek that needs cheering up then this might be just the thing. Two of my favourite things, Star Trek and Monty Python, combined.

Aug(de)mented Reality

Armed with an iPhone, Sharpie, paint pens, and lots of transparent sheets, Marty Cooper AKA Hombre_McSteez is on a quest to turn everyday life into an odd creature infested cartoon world. This is actually the third film in the series so be sure to check out the others.
